Utherverse Digital, Inc. is looking to fill the vital role of
Senior Network Administrator.
Objective
To provide direction for all network engineering activities within Utherverse Digital Inc. with the objective of maximizing efficiency and stability. This key position is focused on provision of day-to-day support, innovation and leadership within all network engineering and internal tech support functions.
Requirements
•Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training and 5 or more years related work experience.
•5 or more years experience in the Information Technology field, and a minimum of 3 years of experience as an IT Manager (or comparable)
•Leadership and mentoring experience, working within a management team
•Knowledge of & experience with:
•Windows network and security domain Exchange
•Network Engineering (hardware, security, etc)
•Systems Administration
•Storage
•Microsoft Database technologies
•Asset Tracking and PO systems
•IIS
•Cisco networking equipment
As well as: Extranet, Intranet, Internet, Servers, File management software, Security software, Multimedia Software, word processing software, Spreadsheet software, Presentation software, Office Suites, Mail server software, Electronic mailing software, Electronic scheduling software and Communication software
Work Conditions
•May be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.
•Ability to be On call
Tasks
•Design, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of the Utherverse Digital Inc. network, server, redundancies, fail-safes and fail-overs, working to optimize the effectiveness of all systems.
•Set up local area networks and connections to the internet, Implement network traffic and security monitoring software; optimize server performance.
•Install, maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade web-server hardware and software
•Provide problem-solving services to other employees as well as network users. Provide consultation and expertise to other members of the team
•Implement data, software and hardware security procedures
•Lead the Utherverse Digital Inc. network engineering group via operational and strategic planning, managing and coordinating projects.
•Provide overall leadership, guidance and professional/technical expertise and ensure adherence to standards.
•Management and mentorship of technical staff supporting database systems and internal technical support
•Change Management, security and integrity requirements related to database systems
•Capacity planning and systems tuning
•Establishing best practices and setting standards related to database systems
•Perform additional assignments as required by the needs of the operational unit, company, or as directed by the President or CEO
